The ONLY reason I want the native navigation is because I don’t want to install a cell phone holder on the dash. Update Toolbox is a free-of-charge software that allows you to download. I really don’t want to pay them that much for nav especially when I can use Waze. Any help at all would be very greatly appreciated. Has anyone else had any issues with getting their Nav to read an SD card? Super frustrating. I can handle inserting an SD card thank you very much. And we’re using “installation” pretty loosely here as you guys know. I could try another seller and another card or I could bite the bullet and take it in to Mazda to fork over a ridiculous $400 for the “parts and installation”. and device has to be same as copied sd card.

Now, I suppose it’s possible that I got another defective or blank second card but man, that just does not seem likely. types matters class 4 HC I up to to 32gb although class 10 might work did not bother to try. Please note that Ford Map Updater requires a minimum display resolution of 1024768.

Supported platforms: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or OS X 10.10 (or later). This makes downloading free map updates possible. So I send it back and the seller hooks me up with a replacement and is very apologetic. We created a free, easy-to-use software called Ford Map Updater, just for you. I think darn, I’m one of the “lucky” ones. So, fast forward to me receiving a card and no matter what I do, my CX-5 won’t read the card. And in that case, the seller always follows up by sending a replacement card. I did my homework and the only “risk” per se is that very rarely this seller sends out a card that won’t get read by the vehicle. The one thing that has bothered me is that I can’t get the damn navigation to work! I found a very reputable seller on amazon who was selling nav SD cards.

You guys already know how amazing this vehicle is. I could gush about it for days but I won’t. If the file isn't there you need to 'search' for the file within Windows and cut and paste it in the appropriate directory and return to the 'Navco' menu and follow the above instructions. So we recently bought a used 2016 CX-5. If you are running Windows CE then select the icon 'Explorer', then YES to enter double tap on 'My Device' you should see the file 'Resident Flash' again double click and * IGO (*being the country of your map of choice) double click the file 'IGO' The navigation system should launch from the Windows CE. If the navigation still doesn't launch do the following:. Back pedal out through the screens and try the 'Navigation' icon. At the 'Devices with Removable Storage' section double click on your navigation device to open its content. Please connect the device or SD card to your PC, click on ‘Start Computer’. Tap the '? iGO.exe icon and the screen will go back to the address path screen this time with the appropriate address path visible. There is a small lock slider on the side of the SD card, or, in the case of a microSD, on the card adapter. You should see a file 'Resident Flash' double tap it and the country file or files should appear with the suffix IGO after it. If you don't see this address path then tap the icon next to the address path line. It should read \ResidentFlash\* IGO\iGO.exe (*being the country of your map of choice). Select the icon 'Navco' which takes you to the navigation exe file path. (If your PDA model does not have this setting screen, then it does not support Mass Storage Protocol connection, and you should insert your SD card into an SD card reader.) When your device is successfully connected and Naviextras Toolbox finds it in the list of supported devices, the device (or software) name will appear at the top of the. I am assuming you are running Naviextras iGO on a Windows CE platform if so, check the directory still exists.
